Psychiatric medication isn’t one-size-fits-all and it shouldn’t feel that way. At Empowerment Health & Wellness, medication management starts with understanding your full history, your goals, and what “feeling better” actually looks like for you. Led by board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Leigh Myers, every plan is built collaboratively, monitored closely, and adjusted honestly as your needs change all delivered through secure, convenient telehealth visits across New Jersey and In-Person & Virtual Appointments Available in Pennsylvania.
Medication management is the ongoing process of evaluating, prescribing, and monitoring psychiatric medications to treat conditions like anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, PTSD, OCD, and more. It’s not a one-time prescription. it’s an evolving relationship where your provider checks in regularly, tracks how you’re responding, and fine-tunes your treatment so you get real relief with the fewest side effects possible.

Virtual visits mean you can meet with a board-certified provider from home, work, or wherever you feel most comfortable: no waiting rooms, no travel time, and no compromise on the quality or privacy of your care. It’s especially valuable for ongoing medication check-ins, where consistency matters more than a physical exam.
It depends on where you are in treatment. New patients typically start with more frequent visits (every 2–4 weeks) while we find the right medication and dose, then move to less frequent maintenance visits (every 1–3 months) once things are stable.
This is determined case-by-case based on your evaluation, diagnosis, and current telehealth prescribing regulations in NJ and PA. We’ll walk you through what’s appropriate for your situation during your evaluation.
Not necessarily but many patients find combining medication with psychotherapy leads to better, more lasting results. We’ll talk through what makes sense for your goals.
We accept most insurance plans through Headway and Grow Therapy, along with self-pay options. Reach out and we’ll confirm your specific coverage before your first visit.
Yes. Whether you’re starting psychiatric care for the first time or transferring from another provider, we’ll review your history and build a plan that continues what’s working and adjusts what isn’t.
